Light and Dark
In the secluded woods of the night,
A tranquil scene, a calming sight.
The moon, she hangs, a brilliant sphere,
And stars, they sparkle without fear.
The light whispers of a peaceful land,
Where dreams and fantasy go hand in hand.
A place where the soul lay still at rest,
And worries fade, forever blessed.
But what of the shadows that crept on the ground,
That came to be around, scattered and found.
The cold breeze, it pierces, enveloped the trees,
And the silence broken, by distant lees.
It speaks of danger lurking near,
The fear of the unknown, that we persevere.
A void in the heart, where darkness sways,
And all that once shone, fades away.
But still, light and darkness coexist,
A duality of life, that cannot be missed.
Each one providing, a unique hue,
Together intertwined, making it all anew.
For in the darkness, the light will show,
And in the light, the shadow will grow.
Both sides, to be embraced, not to be apart,
As without one, the other, can't leave a mark.
So cherish the light, embrace the dark,
For in their union, a balance takes heart.
