A Card To Find later

After all this is done and time finds you here;
Alone, with your dusty box of yesteryear.
I shall kiss your tears, if death allow;
And with unseen hand, caress your brow.
And if my love, you've gone before;
And it is I who read these words so sore.
I'll call upon your spirit, sweet;
And bow to kiss your unseen feet.
The love we have always and forever shared
Was long ago - by our ancient selves - prepared.
And if our hearts still together beat true;
You'll read this to me, or I to you.
While hand-in-hand, we'll look ahead,
To our life together, when we are dead.
