Birth
I held the blade in my hands,
pondering on the action I was about to take,
then I did it,
I slid the cold metal across my throat and screamed,
the blood gurgling in my throat as I did so,
I pulled my tongue from its lair,
the worm writhing around as a result of the pain,
and I cut it off,
I gouged my eyes,
the feeling of them being pulled free of there sockets now etched into my very soul,
a unique pain that I reveled in,
and for the first time I felt at home,
it was hear,
racked in pain,
surrounded by darkness,
and hearing nothing but my own gurgling pain and the heartbeat of suffering itself,
it was hear where I was born,
where all things were meant to be,
and so I bring it to the world,
