There Is Beauty Everywhere
The gilded grass dipped in the golden light
Casts its shadow on the ebony ground.

The vernal songs of a bluebird
Counterpoint our words
On a mesmerising melody,
Where our souls abide.

With exhaustion in our bones;
And words in our minds,
We converse in bliss;
We converse through eyes.

Yet again, time reveals its hoax.

And now the glistening twilight,
Is dappled by the enshrouding night.
But alas! The gloom of the doom;
Has us wishing upon the daylight.

She talks of the human’s calamity,
How they create a fog so thick
It is now an embodiment on her
auburn skin.
She talks of their paradoxical sins
Their blindness for the beauty staring
them in the face.

The bards concatenating bloodshed and passion,
Pleading that there lies poetry within loss
Quelling their repining minds
To cease standing in the evocative past.

There is beauty,
Not only in words but also in echoes.
Not only in achievements but also in effacements.

There is beauty everywhere.
