Guardian of The Gate
#WritcoPoemPrompt8
Every soul that passes the gate,
Has passed the test of time and fate,
Trudging along on tired feet,
Almost there, refusing to be beat.
I stand as the guardian, unwavering and strong,
Witnessing all stories, some having gone wrong,
I am not here to cast hasty judgment,
For every soul has their own predicament.
The first one approaches, eyes filled with tears,
Their life held sorrow, burdened with fears.
In their heart, lit kindness knowing no bounds,
They have endured life's storms and withstood its rounds.
I open the gate, a warm smile on my face,
Guiding them forward to a heavenly embrace,
No hasty judgment, for their soul shines bright,
Their journey's been tough, they've fought it...
