Emotions swirl, like a stormy sea
Tides of feeling, rise up in me
I grasp and cling, to the ones I adore
Afraid to let go, and see them fade once more

Memories linger, like whispers in my ear
Reminding me of joy, and love so clear
I hold on tight, to the heartache too
For even pain, can be a feeling true

Like autumn leaves, that cling to the tree
I grasp and cling, to what's meant to be
For in the letting go, I fear I'll lose
The essence of me, and my heart's muse

But like the seasons, change is inevitable too
And holding on, can make the heart feel blue
So I'll learn to release, and let emotions flow
And trust that new feelings, will grow and glow.
