Innocence Rekindled
Oh, hearts of tender, unblemished grace,
Where innocence dwells in its sacred place.
Eyes alight with wonder’s gleam,
Boundless joy, a gentle dream.
Unburdened by the weight of years,
They roam through life, unscathed by fears.
Ephemeral treasures, pure and bright,
Radiant souls in dawn's soft light.
Yet why must age such gifts obscure,
When wisdom stands on life’s grand shore?
Should not these hands, by time made frail,
Once more in mirthful freedom sail?
For in each line and silvered trace,
Lies knowledge gained in life’s embrace.
Let us return to days of yore,
Where hearts are young forevermore.
In innocence renewed, we find,
The truest joy, unmarked by time.
