The Empty Stage
The emptiness hits this building,
Where the stage once stood it ground.
Now it lies in ruins,
With not even an ounce of a sound.
No laughter, No Heartbreak, Not even a weep.
For the stage has become just a memory,
Of what it use to be.
The performers that once played here,
Reminisce of the beauty it held.
But now it stand forgotten, alone and dishevelled.
And as I sit I wonder.
How the past and present unite.
As this wonderful but broken building.
Fills my heart full of delight.
