Like You
A voice cries out within my ear,
"Be yourself, there's none more dear."
Each soul unique, a mosaic,
Woven with threads of destiny.

But ego stirs, a restless fight,
"No, no," it wails, "I yearn for light
To shine like them, to be the same,
To taste of joy, erase the blame."

Like her, like them, their laughter rings,
Untouched by shadows, doubts it brings.
But deep within, a truth I see,
True happiness lies with me.
