Juniperus ashei
(A poem for my love)
Alas, my home, I sit within thee
My home of brown, blue, and green
Oh, manor of every color unseen
Arms open so welcoming.
Salutations sighed by the wind
So wonderful it is, to be here again
I could never wish to leave.
With feathers of flyers from all types of flocks
And remnants of all who your path they walked
Blooms brought up from below footfalls’ land
Far, far away from the tainted touch of Man.
The whispers of every life lived and living
Burst out in most elegant melody.
Let your voices ring, never silencing
May your chime from this land never die
Even as your beauty is laid to waste
Long beyond your reach I sit reminiscing
Such wonders once...
Alas, my home, I sit within thee
My home of brown, blue, and green
Oh, manor of every color unseen
Arms open so welcoming.
Salutations sighed by the wind
So wonderful it is, to be here again
I could never wish to leave.
With feathers of flyers from all types of flocks
And remnants of all who your path they walked
Blooms brought up from below footfalls’ land
Far, far away from the tainted touch of Man.
The whispers of every life lived and living
Burst out in most elegant melody.
Let your voices ring, never silencing
May your chime from this land never die
Even as your beauty is laid to waste
Long beyond your reach I sit reminiscing
Such wonders once...
