Transatlantic Gap
Having once known love
as across some great transatlantic gap,
of which neither lark nor fairest nightingale
might ever dream to span,
instead requiring the hardiest of explorers
to hang sail and pray for friendly winds

I now find love so close
we are superglued cheek to cheek
and chest to chest
unable to step back to open some empty space between
even if we so wished.
