Dear God, it's me,
it's been a week or two, (or is it three?)
I'm crying Lord, can you see the tears fall from my eyes?
Of course you can, even though you're way up in the sky.

Daddy's been drinking again, he hit me today,
And I really miss mummy, she's still been away,
Brian; my cousin (you know him, right)
I think he hurts Diane, I hear her cry at night.

I'm really sorry if I've been a bad girl,
but daddy's been mean too, he sold my pearls,
I really want things to go back to normal,
the way things used to be,
Where we were all so happy,
Dad, Mum, Diane and me.


But things are far from happy,
I guess that's the way it will be,
Just promise Lord, that you will always be there for me,
And maybe, just maybe, you'll let me wake up and this will all just be a dream.
