My grandma bought me a pretty cat
My grandma bought me a pretty cat
There she was in our car, prettily she sat
We were passing by a gruff fat man
And he sold us the pretty siamese cat

I couldn't sing, my voice was hoarse
So to the hospital was our car's course
I read some newspaper, got checked and then
We got hungry so we made our way to a local kitchen

"We'll have to buy some handles" Grandma said
"Is that why we're going to downtown?" I conversationally led
I felt like a kid again I thought
Dragged here and there to assist what my grandma sought

It was a rough down town
Dirty, old, drugged and filled with frowns
With the unfortunate who had no money and slept on grounds

Dirty were the rivers, and when my grandma conversed
With the store employee she gambled and versed
"It's 50" "Huh? No. Don't tease and jest me"
Then whispered "Fine, but you don't need the receipt"

Attitude, Beauty and Influence truly
Could make the cops turn a blind eye to our illegal parking
But as we went back, my grandma warmly smiled
And I shouted as my eye caught
A pretty siamese cat
