A heart once pure,
tainted forever.
Unreversibly damaged by man.

Passed a long a line,
hurting more each time.
Pass me on to someone new,
someone different in their ways.
A different love I grew to knew,
grew to have.

Damage once healed by him,
was soon replaced with new.
The one to fix it all,
tore it down all again.
The heart he fixed,
shattered like glass.

But its gone now,
everything.
All that's there,
is a hole where my heart once sat.
Replaced now by a deep numbness,
melancholy,
a feeling I will grow to tolerate.

Its over.
