SACRIFICE.❤️ A Poem About Letting Go Of The
Special Person in your life.

Adrift in a raging sea of emotions, on a voyage to nowhere.
On the horizon, to my rescue, a distant saviour approaches,
The sea calms in her wake,
Her calmness becomes my calm.

A lifeline thrown, a steady hand on the tiller,
We sail together towards tranquil waters,
A life saved, in hindsight an unworthy life,
A life indebted, a debt that many lifetimes couldnt repay.

The contents of her thoughts laid out In orderly rows,
Suddenly, & without warning, a whirling dervish invades,
Scattering the order, creating unwanted disorder.
The pureness of her thoughts coated with detritus.

One life ascending, one life decending,
The Yin & Yang of life
One life lived,
One life, a delicate orchid yet still to bloom.

To ensure its longevity,
The bloom craves care & nurturing
A calm, protective atmosphere will ensure her success.
Without distracting my friend from her chosen path.

To enable my friend to fulfill her career ambition
our relationship had to end.
My Heart 💓 which I had gifted to her intact
Was handed back to me broken & in a thousand pieces💔
Never again would I entrust my Heart 💓 to another!
