Behind the bar of you heart you sat,
All evidence pointed to me,
All the multiple crimes I committed came hunting me.
Comfort me,
An exhibit of no hope of freedom lays on your bench,
I have not been best at loving
Or did I wrong nature by all the secrets I kept?
Broken oaths I took to affirm my innocence,
Oh why did I have to love this way?
Guilty as a rat trapped with no escape I was blind by your lies.
Oh where did I go wrong as to how to love you,
Now here I stand rebutting my words,
I have taken I more than I can swallow all because my lonely heart searched for the comfort of you,
My eyes are to be blamed,
Because my mind has no eye of its own but only to accept what eyes sights as pleasing for my personality.
