A Scream of Silence
There's a scream deep inside me.
It's built up so long that I feel
It would tremble the ground
and shake the trees.
It's made of rage, grief, and hurt.
And it's trying to claw its way up my throat,
it's going to pry my mouth open with sharp talons.
I want to collapse and let it out.
I'm suffocating from the inside out
I'm rotting like a dead leaf
But I don't think anything can fix it.
And yet,
when I open my jaws,
to let it all out -
