Shattered Illusions 🥺

Dreams and wishes spun,
I held illusions, bright as the sun,
A world where all was perfect, divine,
Where every flaw was but a line.

But one day, reality's harsh light,
Shattered illusions, blurred my sight,
The one I thought I knew so well,
Turned out to wear a different shell.

The words they spoke, like shards of glass,
Cutting through the dreams amassed,
The truth unveiled, a bitter pill,
My illusions shattered, against my will.

What once seemed pure, now stained and gray,
The perfect image, faded away,
A lesson learned, in harsh disguise,
As illusions shattered, truth does rise.

So now I see with clearer eyes,
No more ensnared by sweet disguise,
Though painful, the shattering of dreams,
It sets me free, or so it seems.
