Past deeds
#WritcoPoemChallenge
If only wishes can come true,
I have one or two or maybe a few,
And they're all about you,
Revolve around my decisions with you,
When I should have said NO,
When I should have let GO,
Or when I really should have left you,
Can't relieve past deeds, No use,
Reaping the fruits of my deeds now
Feel myself breaking inside
The plastered smile on my lips
Hurts more for the end is not in sight

I miss myself
I miss the life I could have lived
I weep for the joys I could have had
I cringe that I may not reach my dreams
I reel in distress, that my error may endure
I grief for the greatness that could have been
In all these things, there is a silver lining
It will keep me hanging on
Until I have paid my dues
And can no longer be held back
If I still feel this way
Then, only then
Will I push my wishes to light
