"Blindfold"
No one sees behind the blindfold,
The tears of blood that are shed,
The stained cheeks, the broken smiles,
Go unnoticed by the blindfold that society puts on us.

Blindfold, the blindfold gets taken off and people are exposed to our weaknesses and vulnerabilities,
But society questions us and condemns us for doing that very thing.
So we put the blindfold back on and continue to hide,

Until we break and lose our minds,
Wind up falling behind,
Tearing ourselves apart like predators with their prey.

We continue to wear the blindfold until we can't take no more,

So, we give into the pressures of society,
In order to drown out our feelings, thoughts and emotions,
We continue to do so, until we wither away like neglected flowers,

Then that's when society permanently takes their blindfold off of us and gives us the love we wanted from the beginning.
