Embrace of Death

It spread far and wide,
Embracing its victims with a death's grip.
In shadows it crept, silent and sly,
A haunting presence, casting a sigh.
Its tendrils extended, reaching out far,
Embracing victims, like a venomous star.
Across lands it traveled, relentless and cold,
A tale of horror, yet untold.
With every touch, a life it stole,
Leaving behind sorrow and an empty hole.
Families shattered, torn apart,
