Hang On, Friend: Part 1
Can you give me a reason, friend
To hold on to this maudlin life?
A reason to live instead of to die,
Something that's worth all the strife?

There's no point to my existence,
People don't seem to care!
Is there anything that is worth my time?
That eases the burden I have to bear?

Life or death, it's the same to me,
Because you can't really call this living.
When you never, no never, get anything back,
It makes you too tired to just keep on giving.

I have no dreams, no hopes for tomorrow,
Friend, can you show me the way?
I'm a walking ghost, dead inside,
Not sure I can make it through one more day.

I'm sorry to bother you with my troubles,
But thanks for listening, friend.
If I don't find a will to live soon,
Then I guess this is the end.
