A peaceful heaven Earth was, for every life form
Nurturing, nourishing, flourishing, with beauty & norm
Until from the apes evolved the mighty humans
Progress they termed, what was but destruction,
Striving to make their own life easier, ruined nature's every element
Time and again the earth did warn...only to fall on deaf ears of the conceited ones
We dig ourselves our own graves and celebrate "Earth Day " with aplomb...!!!
