Downpour
When all the clouds hide the Sun,
and the Hope’s lights are all gone,
you look for the Peace, but there’s none,
and the sadness has all but won.
When the Heavens cry and weep,
they’ve stolen your joy and sleep,
and you contemplate life so hard and deep,
the sorrow’s sown, and it‘s time to reap.
When you find it hard to smile,
and the world seems twisted and vile,
the rain falls on you on every mile,
nothing seems to be worthwile...
Brace youself, for the life is harsh,
wasteland, barrens, graveyard, marsh.....
and the Hope’s lights are all gone,
you look for the Peace, but there’s none,
and the sadness has all but won.
When the Heavens cry and weep,
they’ve stolen your joy and sleep,
and you contemplate life so hard and deep,
the sorrow’s sown, and it‘s time to reap.
When you find it hard to smile,
and the world seems twisted and vile,
the rain falls on you on every mile,
nothing seems to be worthwile...
Brace youself, for the life is harsh,
wasteland, barrens, graveyard, marsh.....
