Advice for Teens
I'm a teen myself but still I like to share my experience. As a teen it is very common to get intrigued on many things which are often deemed to be adult stuff .

When I was 14, I became very interested in politics. Like I guess, there was lockdown during that period. All day long, I kept news about politics.I used to fight for the political party which intrigued me the most. Even if they were wrong, I used to fight for them. But later I found these stuffs useless. Political parties fighting over petty and non sense issues. I don't know for others but I did not find it worthy. And since then I had distance myself from Politics. Like if you read my opinion on politics 2 years back and now, many people will assume me a hypocrite. It's not like politics is bad, but Indian politics and politicians certainly is.

Similarly, many teens get inspired to speak against social issues, speak for empowerment and when they advocate for it, they think that they create an impact. But later when there's a realization that things don't go exactly what you think. The situation is more dwindle than you realize.

Also there's always a realization too. His/Her opinion what was earlier may not be the same now but that doesn't necessarily mean they are hypocrites. It's growth, it's realization. Realization that things exactly don't go smoothly.Who knows what I write in my answer now may not contradict with an answer that I may write a few years from now.

So I want to say that things aren't as easy as you think. There are huddles on any issues you fight against. And also if you realize that your opinion was wrong and advocating against it now doesn't mean you are a hypocrite. You realized your mistake, you grew up.

Have a nice day.
