I Bought a House.
I bought a house,
Put the lamp I adored the most,
Ready to be a host,
But oh, I forgot to make it my home.
For my house, I bought the sofa of pure leather,
With cushions stuffed with soft feathers,
Put up a vase with heathers,
But in my heart, there's still some bother,
Because oh, I forgot to make it my home.
In my house I put up huge curtains,
Adorned by shelves with miniature fountains,
Anyone would be in an awe to see these, that's certain,
But I, I don't feel anything,
Cause oh, I forgot to make it my home.
In my house, flooring, I made it of wood,
With a polish very good,
Then I sprayed house freshner of sandalwood,
Which would lighten up anyone's mood,
The only thing I forgot was to make it my home.
My whole life I was running for a house,
Did everything and learned everything to fulfill the feeling that had aroused,
It was the only thing I had known,
Cause in the process, I forgot how to run for a home.
