Deep in the shadows of my tormented mind,
There lies evil of all kinds,
Trapped in a room where silence is all I could find,
Living in shadows passing the time.

There lies a soul that even the toughest can't break,
A being that will never be safe,
Hoping that time causes her memories to fade,
Until there’s nothing that remains.

Drowning out all of the noises that cost her, her smile,
But beasts are waiting all the while,
If only she could have stayed longer as a child,
But at least she wore her pain...
