YOU
#WritcoPoemPrompt121
Your notes,
Are the only things I have,
The words are like melodies that float,
But the letters sometimes misbehave.
Because this can't be the you I know.
You're different now.
You slid in with charm,
I never would've thought
Youd cause me harm.
You were prince charming,
I got lost within your eyes.
Tell me my sweet beloved,
Another beautiful lie.
You said you'd never hurt me,
& That your fist could never do,
Every single thing, that you promised wasn't you.
My eyes black,
I stay inside,
Isolating myself.
I just want to hide,
At first you made me smitten
Now you make me wish that I could die.
The crazy thing is,
I still justify your lies.
I'm still holding on,

Praying for a change.
Yet deep inside I already know that you'll always be the same.
You tricked me with that crooked smile, the mystery, the way
That you painted the picture
Of how our love was gonna stay.
The walks, the talks, all the memories
The way that I fell for you,
While you lied to me
Fell in love with a figment of my imagination,
That person don't exist
The Grieving of a person,
Who you can't even miss.
The feelings that you claimed you had,
Were they even true?
How could you turn out this way?
How can this be you?
You made me feel so magical,
Like we were meant to be
You blinded me for so damn long
I'm back to reality.
The you that you portrayed to be ,
Was never you at all.
We should've left it at Hi and Bye
Now it's me against it all.
Your love was so deceitful,
You damaged me for life,
Ill never be the same again
I have no trust in site.
How does it make you feel?
You victimized my soul.
All that you did to me
& I still cant let you go.
Because even tho I know
Our love was nothing but a scam
I still have a little faith,
That youll love me for who I am
And we can live our fairytale,
Our Happily Ever After - you and me ,
And I'll wake up from this nightmare
& youll be holding me..
Saying "baby it's okay"
"It was just a dream."
"It was just a dream."
Or is this another one of your evil schemes.

Signed With Love,
Kay
