In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
out of sight
but not out of mind
the wet kiss
the warm tight hug
and your sweet breath that smelled like fresh apples
why is the night so short for lovers
so went I up into the heavens
to make a deal with the moon
I consulted the stars too
to make the night longer
but they said to me
there is time to everything
a time to love
a time to let go
it is how everything in nature flows
so came I back in sadness
Comforted by the angels
its just that I love you more
I just can't help it
