WHOLE
WORLD
IN ITS
HANDS

In the dawn of the millennial sun,
Where the world was young, so brightly spun,
We danced to the rhythm of life's sweet tune,
Unaware of the shadows to come so soon.

From the cradle of time to the digital age,
We've scribbled our stories on every page,
A canvas of wires, screens our stage,
Where human hearts once broke the cage.

The circle of life, now almost complete,
Reflects on the facades we've had to face.
A tapestry of moments so bittersweet,
Where heroes have fallen from grace.

In the hallowed halls of music's reign,
Where melodies once soared without any stain,
The harmony's lost in the cacophony's pain,
And the lyrics of love are in disdain.

The silver screen, once a mirror so clear,
Now shows us a world that we've come to fear,
Where heroes are shadows, and the plot is so queer,
We seek refuge in whispers of yesteryear.

The boundless realm of literature's might,
Has turned to a desert devoid of light,
Where truth is a commodity bought and sold,
And the ink of wisdom has grown so cold.

Broken homes, like shattered glass,
Reflect the shards of love that didn't last,
Single parents, the pillars that stand, some past.
Bearing the burden of life's harsh cast.
