Quietly enjoying the movement of the sea
Slowly, ever so slowly
The water rhythmically moves foward and backwards
The water came unto the shore rapidly
but always limited itself
The wave would rise threatening to cause commotion
But eventually fall back in the water
It seemed to be restraining itself

Swallowing the sand, it moves away from the shore
But drowning in this not so violent water
Is something else, not sand
Someone is slowly going under
pushed down by the force of the water
Through this she's looking for a shield
A protection, the water
She's slowly going under
But she needs the water to quench the fire inside her

Throwing her hand in every direction
She's fighting to get on the surface
Turns out the water was more furious than it looked
Poisonous plants and animals finding peace in the predicament of their prey

In her mind all she needed
was a way out of the fire burning inside her
of the fire burning all around her
The wave came with force as high as a mountain
And came crushing down without warning
Breaking its own limits
Suddenly, there was no expression of kindness on their faces
There was no expression of welcome
Rather fear was splashed on their face like mud

When the sea was calm,
they searched means to make it fierce
Now it is and everyone fears
They caused it to break its own rules
To fully transform into the demon it has always been
And now they're scared.
