While you stand firm, refusing to forsake

Your values and your self-respect,
Knowing you deserve more than neglect
And excuses for his lack of growth,
You're simply too much for him, in both

Strength and character, he's not ready
To face the truth, so unsteady
In his desire to remain the same,
But you'll find someone who sees your flame

And loves you for the fierce woman you are,
So don't let his rejection scar
Your heart or make you feel small,
