The summer
slowly I sank
I felt my body go deeper
I tried to put pressure
but my attempt was futile
my breathing uneven
as i felt my body
losing oxygen
i tried to breathe
water entered my body
the deeper i went
the more the thoughts consumed
that i wont survive
feeling my body going weak
a dizzy feeling
washing over me
the realization of death
hit me like a ton of bricks
as my back hit the bottom
my eyes closed
as i gave into the darkness
this is a poem
about the summer i drowned.
