Sadness
Dear Sadness, my unwelcome guest,
I write to you, as you make me depressed
You tiptoe in like whispered lies,
Your presence, a cloak of darkened skies.
With every breath, you tighten your hold,
A merciless grip, my spirit you fold.
Oh Sadness, you cunning thief of light,
Cloaked in shadows, darkness defined.
You devour my smiles, with a guilty glee,
Leaving hollow echoes of what used to be.
Metaphors dance upon this pleading page,
Trying to encapsulate this sorrowful stage.
The heart, a wounded bird on barren land,
Tender melodies silenced by your command.
You're a moonless night, devoid of stars,
A collapsing bridge,...
I write to you, as you make me depressed
You tiptoe in like whispered lies,
Your presence, a cloak of darkened skies.
With every breath, you tighten your hold,
A merciless grip, my spirit you fold.
Oh Sadness, you cunning thief of light,
Cloaked in shadows, darkness defined.
You devour my smiles, with a guilty glee,
Leaving hollow echoes of what used to be.
Metaphors dance upon this pleading page,
Trying to encapsulate this sorrowful stage.
The heart, a wounded bird on barren land,
Tender melodies silenced by your command.
You're a moonless night, devoid of stars,
