I am tried of seeing her sad and burnt out
Being used and abused always up and down
She comes across so tough and tender
Sweet and sparkle like the moonlight on the river
But at times her words can cut you like a knife
As hopelessness pursues her spirits throughout her life
Because all the love that she has known, is the hardest kind
And she's got a lot of making up to do for all those empty nights
She has misreads his every move each and every time
But if love was once blind
It's time she opened up her eyes to see the fading light
She's been a prisoner of her emptiness, locked in a cell of her own, loneliness
She's always said that love was overrated
Yet she has become part of all the drama it's created
She has become sedated to abuse and hurt which is the only thing she's fully accepted
So blinded by evil, unable to see that her love is one-sided
And as another day goes creeping by with tears falling from her eyes
She feels so empty and ashamed
Used up like an old unwanted memory that no one will claim
And each time you show her a new way to start
Outside, she's cool and indifference inside, playing out each part
Behind a pleading heart
She's had enough and this is the end
But tomorrow they'll be back together starting all over again
Still wearing the scars on her skin, they replaced the kisses of love
But she's played this part for as long as she's known
Regret fills her heart, going through the motions,
With all the pain and sorrow she meekly cope
Yet she still sees him as her only hope
She's learned to be passive, but such is a loss
Accepting defeat without foreclosing costs
She cuts herself to bleed out the pain
What drives her to him is what's driving her insane
She said she stays because she really love him so
And this is the life and comfort that she's come to know!!
