CAN'T FIND MYSELF
I set out in the morn
In a scout to find myself
Eyes squinting to see
Man, perhaps below the sea
Where am I? a solemn question
Myself, true self I mean
Refuses to live by
A different man I was yesterday
Can't even say of myself today
Life is transitory day by day
I have refused to be
The one many thought of me
Set a bridge on my lacuna
My soul, my body together
I am for now unknown
On this day I remember
Years aback, life has rendered
My turn, unwillingly surrendered
My time, I begin to ponder
Past, present, future.
Tell myself I shall find me
And restore my spirit, lost
Glory aback in a jiffy
My heart holds such, a ruling
Allah, I open hands, blessings.
