Autumn leaves do drift apart
Having played the season's part
Without you time grows stiller–
Rudderless drift of a broken tiller
I stand lost , a tiny speck
On a forlorn swaying deck
Unending waves of surf roll
Wiping away our coded scroll
Sands of time shift rapid gears
Leaving dregs of spent tears
Misty eyes search that elusive band
To bridge the yawning gap beyond
where time and space cannot keep
My rainbow painted, true and deep.
