Emotions, they drive us wild,
But expressing them, we feel defiled,
Fear and laziness hold us back,
From sharing our feelings, thus repeating the same track.

"Love" and "Like-like," we never thought,
We'd encounter them, our hearts distraught,
Others reciprocated, but not with that special one,
Our love lives tangled, a messy conundrum.

We blame ourselves for this chaotic mess,
Longing for their friendship, we confess,
We yearn to leave, to escape this place,
Yet the thought of never seeing them, we can't embrace.

Do they ever think of us, do they care?
Or have they wondered where we are, perhaps somewhere?
We're only human, what can we do?
But why didn't they see the signs, too?

Different tastes or not their type,
Thankfully we weren't head over...
