Used to be. ( A Sonnet )
---
And so we inquire,
'Upon us, what has befallen?'
All it takes, all it requires,
Was a single answer, untrodden.
Again, we, inquire,
'Why so, have we been ignorant?'
Yes we have and it is dire,
But once struck, faces ashen.
'Tis true, we are, on the edges
Of 'We aren't to blame, pray tell who is?'
And through these messages,
Dare I say the things we used to miss

Were lost like foams by the shore,
Like lives lost in one great war,
Though we inquire the things we called for,
Though it is gone like the wind forevermore.
