I went to church today,
to watch two boys join,
the holy communion,
beginning their journey and service,
to the lord above.

and as the congregation sang,
praises of worship,
a holy devotion of eternal offering,
they thank the lord,
for all he does for us.

I stand silent in the back,
as the tears fill my eyes,
unholy and empty,
I curse that same god,
who took my body from me,
when I had just learned,
to love myself.
