Restless Trance
In the ebb and flow of life's relentless tide,
I thought I glimpsed a glimmer, a moment to abide.
Yet here I am, back on the same worn track,
Where food loses flavor, and books lack.

Sleep evades, a distant lover's embrace,
Leaving me to wander in this restless space.
Forcing each step, each morsel to consume,
As if existence itself were a burdensome tomb.

But amidst the shadows, a solace is found,
In the dance of ink upon paper, profound.
Each word a refuge, each line a sigh,
As the tumult within begins to pacify.

Yet fleeting is this respite, this temporary peace,
As the night descends, anxiety's cruel increase.
Alone in the darkness, with no one to confide,
Trapped in a labyrinth of fears inside.

Oh, when will this torment, this anguish, subside?
When will the echoes of despair finally hide?
In the symphony of life, where hope's whispers lie,
May the melody of healing soon draw nigh.
