I fell for it
You change your mind like I change my hair,
I thought I was the exception but now I just stare.
As yet another time you mumble that you’re not sure,
about us, and I am, but I don’t say that I’m too pure.
There I am thinking I’ve caught someone for my own,
But then you have to humble me like bleach gets toned.
One girl comes and she’s caught in the thick of it,
You work your charm on her like she’s Taylor Swift or some shit.
I’ll say we’re both very indecisive but,
This was the one thing you could decide on.
So you shoot a text to get it out in the world,
I’m not the one you’re looking for unless there’s not another girl.
The back up plan because you want someone like me,
But you’d rather that girl be slightly more pretty.
I’ve got the most ideal personality you say,
But you assume there’s better things to frolick along the way.
You made me believe I was wanted by you,
But you wanted me and the entire species of girls too.
I fell for it, the tricks of a man hoe,
I listened to the lies he told of things like, “I love you.”
The tent was built but the rain came and flooded,
You were the cold chill after the storm in the morning that was haunted.
You say we can stay friends but I don’t think so,
I can’t stay close with someone who told me to go.
I fell for it over and over til I wanted an end,
I won’t let you or anyone else do that to me again.
