Hie you friends from the land of the Indus
Up there by the famed Himalayas?
Bharat, the land of the Hindi
Stretching down into the Indian Ocean.

I know not the land, but only its fame.
There were the Ganges resides.
Tell me how delightful its waters are!

The land of aromantic spices!
They tell us that they're a part of every dish!
Is it really so?
Answer me if you can, oh dear folks.

Of Hinduism the religion of a unique people,
As old as life itself!
How does it feel like to be Indian?

The land of the famed philosopher Gandhi
That entity remembered for freedom and nonviolence!

There were the cobra glides,
And the charmer makes it dance to his music
They tell us it happens in Hindustan!
The land of an intelligent people,
Whose influence knows no borderline!
Remember me, oooh India, when the monsoons marches by,
Maybe one day I'll land on your revered soil
When I manage to borrow,
The birdman's untiring wings.
