And so it begins.......
THE FIRST POEM OF TWENTY TWENTY TWO
I stood upon a pile of countless thoughts and questions with no answer,
I was awake all through the long cold night,
Staring, thinking and brooding in silence,
I watched from afar when the sunrise light began climbing beyond the horizon, 🌅
I knew when the first rays of sunlight took a peek through the clouds,
I saw when the still silence romancing the night was banished by the cock-a-doodle-doo song of the cock,
I froze when the city buildings began to lift their heads with ambiance like no other after a warm bath in an ocean of light,
I marveled at how through the air a thought of newness came with new strength, joy and hope,
I saw darkness retreating, quietly and calmly, as waves do after a swash on the beach.
I behold with my own eye,
One wonder,
Out of the greatest of all gifts,
From God,
To every one the same,
I saw the birth of a New Day.🌄
