Formulae
I remember, when at school,
I struggled to remember the tools,
To help solve the sums,
Or the given problems,
And scraping through became the rule!
Then came further, tougher exams,
Where again need for formulae came.
I didn't understand the need,
Of these in life, you see
And so again the story was the same!
Now when I decided to again study
I stumbled upon them again (foolish me)
But decided to find
The reasoning in my mind
And get through all them adversities.
As I try to remember which formula where,
Whether here square root or whole square,
In my relationships, I wonder
Could I have blundered
Because I remember not formulae?
Don't we need formulae for happiness?
For discipline, punishing or togetherness?
And when this we manage well
Why does my brain not retain
Those related to Stats and Mathematics?
