The untold lies
Beneath the smiles and friendly eyes,
There hide the secrets and the lies,
In quiet words and careful sighs,
The truth is masked, in dark disguise.

A web of tales, so softly spun,
Each one a lie, yes, every one,
With gentle words, they weave and twist,
And hearts believe what they have missed.

A silent look, a knowing glance,
The truth untouched, a hidden chance,
Behind the masks of kindness shown,
A trace of lies, the real unknown.

But in the quiet, doubts will rise,
A flicker in the knowing eyes,
The trust once strong, now slightly torn,
The silent bonds no longer sworn.

In every heart, the echoes stay,
Of hidden lies that softly play,
A shared burden, unseen weight,
In shadows deep, in silent state.

For lies untold are truths denied,
Yet still they hide, and still they bide,
In depths where secrets quietly sleep,
In silent dreams, where shadows creep.
