The Lonely Bird

Like a lonely leaf which was stuck on that tree,
Like a lonely bird that sings all alone, searching for its mate;
Like a lonely star that calls for attention in a moonless, dark night;
I search for you every moment:
Alone!
That day you had left without any goodbyes,
Without any words.
Somewhere deep within me,
I have buried a little hope;
That you'll come back again.
Again there would be rains in this forsaken desert;
Again there would be sunshine and butterflies;
But again my rational mind reminds me of the harsh reality.
I know you are gone for times indefinite;
I know I were and will be lonely!
I shun it.....
I would still choose to await your return,
I would wait to feel your breath against mine.
On a dusty old chair, with messed grey hairs
And my skin reminding me of the time,
I would wait for you like a lonely bird,
Till there would be no ray of sunshine
I would wait for you with a juvenile heart,
Till the death and I entwine.
