I Got Two Grandma Kitchen's 🍎🍑
#WritcoPoemPrompt42
Write a poem focusing on a single memory, or describe what you might imagine the typical grandmother’s kitchen to be like.

I got two grandma kitchens,
One looked old - one looked new.
Starting out as a youngin' in britches,
I miss the food, I miss the groove.

One grandma's kitchen,
yeah she was Ma to my dad.
It always had coffee a brewin',
sitting around just to chit chat.

Grandma Carter's kitchen
always Sunday meals. Or morning Fancy Cake breakfasts,
Domino's, Diet Pepsi, the feels.

Ma Cook I miss ya,
In fact your kitchen at that.
But one thing I miss the most about your kitchen is that down home cookin', scrumptious, delicious, finger lickin' good food,
it wasn't no kiddin'.

And Grandma Carter's kitchen was just such a fancy delight.
I'd help her "wash" the dishes on my little red stool,
it was always kept nice and up right.

And Ma Cook,
oh, Ma Cook,
where did the time go?
I'd give anything to go back and help another memory grow.

Grandma Carter you know it's sad.
To have to only hold on to these memories because of what time will do.

But I love you grandma's.

R.I.P. Grandma Zelma, beautiful angel of mine ♥

& here's to new memories Barbara L. Carter. I love our chit chats, many memories, and STILL cherished time together ❤ 💙
