If Looks Could Kill
Have you ever faced a gaze so cold,
Which left you wondering why, there're daggers in their eyes?
A look that pierced right through your soul,
Leaving you so injured, very far from whole.

With a hint of surprise, you stand there still,
Wondering if looks could truly kill.
The weight of their stare, so harsh and dire,
Left a burning glance, a silent fire.

You question your steps, your words, your place,
In the shadow of that hostile face.
What have you done to earn such ire,
To spark such a relentless fire?

Yet in that moment, so frail and small,
You feel the chill, the rising wall.
But in the face of such disdain,
You search for strength, to bear the pain.

But if looks could kill, would you remain?
Would you stand strong through the disdain?
So with courage drawn from deep within,
You face the daggers with a steady chin.

And though the wound is sharp and keen,
You find the strength, the space between.
While in the heart, a fire does burn,
But one of resilience, a will to learn.

To rise above the darkest glare,
To find your footing, and the inury repair.
Have you ever really felt that piercing gaze?
And did you rise from its cruel maze?

With every dagger, every stare,
You find your strength, you face the glare.
For in the soul, a power lies,
To heal, to stand, to defy the eyes.

Though looks can't kill, yet they can wound,
But in their glare, resolve is tuned
And in your heart, you know your worth,
To rise above the glance that hurts!!
