Previously within the grounds, stood sturdy her feet,
Born willing to fight against, she never lost her opportunities,
Deposited wild thoughts into her head and eliminated unpleasantly ones,
She was certainly a survivor, a real representation to society.

Then came down her unfortunate fate,
Came upon her with no known duration and date,
It wasn't a wake-up call, instead an indication she has to survive long,
Her eyes exhaled fire, her heart beating out of her chest,
She looked so valiant, yet a bit unnerved,
For unexpected schemes don't appear with a blessing.

All alone, secluded against her foe,
She knew not who to fight for her mighty sanity,
Audiences swarmed, some mocking, some challenging while others instigating her to go on, to direct the battle.
Her mind turned ambiguous, her brain suddenly lost communication with all her limbs,
She suddenly found herself vulnerable and frightened.

She was already into the arena, shoved forward with a vigor.
Her opponent has yet to show its face and the time's already running out.
Residing so immersed into her thoughts, she knew not how to attain the fight,
For, even a chessboard requires one to lose.

Her soul yearned to lunge under the covers and escape the prying eyes,
She wanted her thoughts to be given attention to, to reach a million ears,
Her feet were reluctant to let go of the rigid ground, to not lose her footing.
She wished she was decisive, like how she was once used to be.
